Author Guidelines

Interested in submitting to this journal? We recommend that you review the About the Journal page for the journal's section policies, as well as the Author Guidelines. Authors need to register with the journal prior to submitting or, if already registered, can simply log in and begin the five-step process. You may download our Template here.

Submitted manuscripts will be assigned to an editor or associate editor who will manage a peer-review of the manuscript. The editor will make a decision based upon the reviewers’ comments and overall assessment of the manuscript. The policy of IJPIS is that the editor should deliver this decision within three months from the manuscript submission date. Authors retain all copyrights - authors will not be forced to sign any copyright transfer agreements but IJPIS will permit re-use of the published material without modification given proper accreditation to the authors. IJPIS has no article processing charges for authors.

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  2. The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  3. Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  4. The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  5. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  6. The submission is prepared for a double-blind peer review.
